There are always things you always wanted to have, but just didn't come to getting. One of these things for me is a real telescope. 

Why didn't I got it then before? It was probably too expensive, I guess it was only for those scarse moments where you could actually use it (I live in a heavy-populated area, so too much light-pollution here).

But at a local discount supermarket Lidl, they sell the most funniest things for -not- their customers, like golf-clubs, snowboards, do-it-yourself tools, and ... telescopes. So the Bresser Skylux 70mm was quite affordable and very good reviewed here, here. and here (sorry Joomla links popups do not seem to work now ...).

Last week, it was finally a clear sky, so it did my first out-of-my-attic observation of the moon. Wow! there are craters on the moon! I hope I'll have an opportunity to make some pictures by connecting my camera. More will follow (if weather permits it). 

Just bought some new skiing equipment. Perfect time of the year to buy yourself a bargain. Tested as a VIP top allround ski. Absolute not fitting together with my orange/red coloured skiing shoes, but who cares in Tiefschnee?

Of course, what do the experts say? Well this:

"Optimum tool for short swings, very balanced in curves. Maximum performance and rebound for a broad audience. Too aggressive for beginners, however."

Kijk ze eens trots! Zonder dat iemand het doorhad zijn ze gewoon getrouwd! En van het 1 komt het ander...
